General Fittings:

  • Manhole:
    • 500 mm (19.7 in) diameter. PTFE dome gasket fitted.
  • Safety Relief:
    • One pressure relief valve is fitted and set at 4.4 bar (63.8 psi) with a provision for a second valve. There is also a provision for rupture disc and manometer.
  • Air / Nitrogen Inlet:
    • One 1 1⁄2” stainless steel 316 ball valve is fitted with 1 1⁄2” BSP male-threaded nipple and cap.
  • Bottom Discharge:
    • Fitted with three closures. Internal valve: Fort valve 3” high-lift valve with remote control. External valve: clamped 3” butterfly valve with a 3” BSP male-threaded outlet and 3” BSP stainless steel cap. PTFE gaskets.
  • Top Discharge:
    • Provision is made for the fitting of a 3” butterfly valve and a 3” siphon tube.
  • Spillboxes:
    • Two spillboxes are fitted. The center spillbox protects the relief valve and manhole. The rear spillbox protects the air / nitrogen inlet and top discharge (if fitted).
  • Steam Heating:
    • Fitted with 8 square meters of steam heating area comprised of 8 runs of 110 mm (4.3 in) x 4,700mm (180 in) longitudinal channels fitted with 3/4″ BSP male-threaded inlet and outlet connections.
  • Insulation:
    • 50 mm of Rockwool on the shell and 50 mm of Glasswool on the ends of the barrel

  • Walkways:
    • Fitted with one longitudinal and three lateral sections of marine grade aluminum walkways providing access to all fittings. One ladder is provided at the rear, curb side of the frame.
  • Grounding Connection:
    • One stainless steel lug is located at the rear, bottom frame.
  • Thermometer:
    • One 80 mm thermometer is fitted with dual scale (’20°C to 200°C and 0°F to 400°F)
  • Document Holder:
    • Fitted with PVC water resistant document holder fixed at the rear of the frame.
  • Calibration:
    • Fitted with a stainless steel calibration chart. 100% of ISO tank calibrated.
  • Approvals:
    • IMDG-IMO, US DOT – CFR49, RID/ADR, AAR 600, CSC, TC, TIR / Customs, UIC.
